Sometimes, It HAS to Get Worse BEFORE It Gets Better

When we think about changing our life, we think about the beautiful desires that we have.

We think about the cars, the houses, the friendships, the intimate relationships, the money, the time freedom, the travel, and the experiences.

Rarely do we think to ourselves: Shit is about to get worse.

In fact, we assume that it's going to automatically get better.

I'll be the one to tell you that this just isn't true.

Well, it's true, but not in the ways you'd think.

When we change our life and set ourselves out on this journey of healing, transformation, and growth, we HAVE to go into the darkest parts of ourselves.

There's no way around it.

The darkest parts of us are what is creating chaos in our life in the first place and when we confront our own limitations, it usually feels like the end of the world.

We have to revisit ALL of the things we are holding onto, in order to liberate ourselves.

THIS step in changing your life is the MOST important.

When you embark on this step, it feels more chaotic than before because what was repressed, is now in the light.

It's important to remember; these dark parts are the wounded aspects of our mind, body, and soul. The ones that carry the suffering, the trauma, pain, and past programming. These parts are also the most powerful parts of us.

I can't tell you why, but we usually get wounded in the places that hold our power. Call it the devil, call it a test, all I know is THAT is the truth

In order to change our reality, we have to change who WE are showing up as.

Most people are showing up as their wounded selves, projecting self-sabotaging behaviors that are keeping them in a dysfunctional cycle.

You have to be willing to show up for your wounded self instead of showing up as your wounded self.

Embracing that sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better, might be the breakthrough that you need to fully follow through on this transition period that is awaiting your life.

And I have PROOF:

When I first started getting Chiropractic care after 7 years of nonstop back pain, my pain levels began to increase before I got to no back pain (except for in my neck. )

What was happening was the muscles and ligaments that weren’t being used before, are now at work and my body was having a response to all these nerve endings being activated.

This was because my body was used to spending most of my life out of alignment and now that I was, IT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE.

My body had adapted to the dysfunction.

When my body started to get into alignment, it was sore and overwhelmed with how different it felt. It was FINALLY functioning how it was supposed to & it was healing from 15 years of intense trauma from gymnastics.

I'd ask my doctor "why the hell am I in worse pain."

He'd respond: "Because your body is healing."

At that moment I realized, HEALING ISN'T ALWAYS SUPPOSE TO BE EASY.

BEING IN ALIGNMENT ISN'T ALWAYS EASY BECAUSE WE HAVE ADAPTED TO THE DYSFUNCTION. (Life my body did)

Healing,

It's forcing yourself into the uncomfortableness because it's what is RIGHT for you.

It isn’t always flow,

It isn’t always ideal,

Yes, the storm comes before the rainbow & we have to learn how to withstand the storm to be able to experience the rainbow.

We go throughout our lives not realizing how out of alignment we are until we decide to commit ourselves to the healing process. Until we decide to commit ourselves to change.

If we stopped doing the work, we’d only realize how much more we need it.

Be patient with yourself and the healing that is taking place.

Stop looking for a quick fix,

Rather get to the root cause of what is lingering within.

Give yourself that gift,

Because once you embark on that journey, and you get to that place of healing,

You'll be able to enjoy your life and enjoy yourself.

Lastly, don’t measure your healing based on someone else's time,

And base it upon what you know you NEED.
