Success Is In The Little Steps

"Success is not a big step in the future. Success is a small step taken right now."

I know Mondays aren't the best for everyone. Monday reminds a lot of people that they aren't living the life that they want to live.

Unconsciously,

Monday reminds a lot of people that they hate their job,

They don't really have time to do the things they want to do,

They don't really like the people that they are around on a day-to-day basis and they feel like they don't have any control over the circumstances they are facing.

Mondays are the days most people are reminded that they are living a life that doesn't give them any breathing room to be themselves.

If this is you, trust me, I get it. If you're here reading this and it's not a Monday, trust me, I get what it feels like to sit up on a Wednesday or Thursday and rethink my entire life choices.

That's why I am here to tell you that It doesn't have to be this way forever.

You can change your circumstances even if you are facing things that seem out of your control. You just have to change yourself first.

In order to start changing your life, you have to start breaking the patterns that you are living by every single day.

Regardless if you are wanting to change your career, heal some deep-rooted trauma, change your behaviors/habits or find happiness,

The patterns in your mind, the patterns in your body, the patterns in your reactions, and the patterns in your behaviors have to change.

The change happens within.

You have to find little things that put a stop to the carousel called your life.

If you don't, the cycle will be never-ending.

Change happens in the little moments and the little decisions that you make throughout the day.

The cycle changes when you choose something different for your morning.

The cycle changes when you choose something different to learn.

The cycle changes when you choose a different reaction.

The cycle changes when you choose something different for your evening.

It's all in our choices and each choice that we make is the opportunity to water a beautiful garden

or

water a destructive weed.

Breaking the patterns starts with small steps.

Most people think that they need to spend a lot of time doing a thousand different things to get them to where they want to go.

I know this because I was one of them. That is why I can tell you that it doesn't have to be that complicated.

Spending long, extensive hours and putting a shit load of pressure on yourself to do a thousand different things to keep up keeps you in a loop of burnout and failure. On a rollercoaster of ups and downs.

Change needs consistency. Consistency comes from starting small.

You have things to do, and responsibilities to take care of as you are changing. You put yourself in a deeper predicament expecting yourself to flip everything all at once.

You set yourself up for success by focusing on the little steps and moments you can take advantage of throughout the day instead of waiting until you are ready to take those big steps.

The small steps prepare you for the monumental steps you will take in the future.

That is why I want to challenge you to take small steps towards the life that you desire to live and the person that you desire to become.

I want you to start this week. (Or any day you are reading this because change happens NOW)

If you're wondering how, ask yourself this question:

How can I start living a smaller, watered-down version of the life my future self will be living?

The key is bringing the future you in to the present moment, figuring out how you can maximize the moments in your life, NOW.

Reducing things into bite sizes.

A large plant doesn't start out as a large plant. It starts as a seed. You water the seed, allow the seed to get sunshine and through the little steps, a plant will grow.

So,

Start watering the seeds in your life. Start with a little intention every day.

Find consistency in your little steps and once it becomes like second nature, you can then continue to take larger steps.

Don't overcomplicate your change.
