Tired or Resisting The Upgrade?

Over the last few years, I have become a huge advocate for rest vs. pushing hard for no other reason than to keep up with the status quo, which leads to burnout, unfulfillment, and stress.

With the proper rest, our health in mind, body and soul peaks & helps assist us in leading a life of fulfilment.

Compared to the concept of hussle and grind only to try and gain some validation by being the hardest working in the room - operating on little to no sleep.

THAT is not a flex - it's sickness waiting to happen. Been there, done that, I don't condone that anymore.

With the focus on rest and mindfulness - Intuition and intention need to be held.

It can be easy to slip into the habit of resting so much that we make excuses to abandon our personal desires for the comfort of not doing anything at all.

There's a difference between striving to keep up with societal expectations and striving to become the person you've always wanted to be.

Often,

Limiting beliefs, patterns, and habits influence us to avoid the things we need to do in order to step up to the plate and give ourselves what we ultimately deserve = the life of our dreams.

We say we will do it tomorrow, and tomorrow turns into next week. Next week turns into a month and then a year; eventually, we look up to find ourselves in the exact same place.

The problem most are running into is thinking that change, transformation and elevating will come easy once you choose yourself. That there will be no resistance when you focus on your passions and desires.

Just because you are passionate about stepping into your power, doesn't mean it will erase the years of conditioning that you have lived by. You have become used to living in the shadows of insecurities, fears, people pleasing. Power, as positive as it may be, becomes the perceived enemy.

Why? Because you have to face the shadow that lives within and THIS is tiring.

We can find it harder to choose ourselves when the world has told us to choose anything else.

You have to be willing to ask yourself - am I really tired or am I having a hard time pushing past the limitations that are stored within me?

Have you been showing up and you need a minute to pause?

OR

Have you been pushing your wants and desires to the side, only to cater to the comfortability of familiarty?

The easiest way to determine if rest is really needed or if you need to push a little harder to get out from underneath your shadow is HONESTY.

Have you REALLY been showing up, or have you been avoiding the necessary steps to see the results in your life?

Have you been thinking the new thoughts? practicing the new habits? changing the behaviors?

OR

Have you been using pretty language to convincing yourself you're actually changing?

Pretty language looks like words with no action.

Movement, but never actually getting anywhere.

Saying "yes I want this" but never truly getting up to get started or consistenly starting and stopping.

My best advice? Schedule in your rest days with your responsibilities.

When you schedule everything in, you're creating balance between giving yourself down time and giving yourself space to show up.

Remember little steps make monumental change.

Don't let the excuse of being "tired" or "it's hard" keep you in a vibrational set point or state of being that is no longer serving you.
